Gmail themes change with time install#

In Gmail, there are many different themes for your inbox, including many unique color schemes and scenes ranging from a mountain view to a beach sunset. We wanted to go beyond simple color customization, so out of the 30 odd themes we're launching today, there's a shiny theme with chrome styling, another one that turns your inbox into a retro notepad, nature themes that change scenery over time, weather driven themes that can rain on your mailbox, and fun characters to keep you in good company. Select the Country and City name to customize your theme. Scroll down to the section below the photo themes and select either the Dark or Terminal theme. Click on it and youвЂ™ll see вЂњMail SettingsвЂќ. Sun - Changes based on the weather, set by your location setting. You can select any one of the available Gmail themes as explained below. To enable dark mode for Gmail, click the gear icon in the top right and choose Themes. When youвЂ™re logged in to your Gmail account, look on the top right for вЂњSettingsвЂќ: (On the newer interface, you might see a small вЂњgear wheelвЂќ icon on the top right instead. The good news is that GoogleвЂ™s now added about twenty themes of its own, ranging from the banal with just the slightest tiny changes from the standard (now вЂњclassicвЂќ) design to those that are quite amazingly different and really quite fun.

Prior to that, there were third-party add-ons you could download and install that would give you some control over the Gmail look and feel (mostly color schemes) but truth be told IвЂ™ve always been nervous about the possibility of a UI hack messing up the functionality of the system. It was only a day or two ago that I learned that Google had unleashed themes in Gmail, actually.
